Code of Conduct Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at Postgres Vision 2019 are required to agree with the following code of conduct. The conference organizers will enforce this code throughout the event, and expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Harassment consists of unwelcome conduct, whether verbal, physical, or visual, that is based upon a person’s protected status, such as race, color, sex, victims of domestic violence, pregnancy, age, religion, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability, veteran status, military service, application for military service, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If the participant fails to do so, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Participants are expected to follow these rules at all conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.

The conference sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Our conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
